A brighter outlook for 2010

 The start of the New Year has seen a flurry of activity for K Home International Limited (KHI). After an intensive period of very competitive bidding for new work in the second half of 2009 the company is starting to see some rewards as the global industry appears to be getting more active. Just before and after Christmas KHI won a number of contracts in Teesside, Iceland, Abu Dhabi and Oman.
The contracts include multi-discipline engineering studies to identify environmental improvements, upgrading plant control systems, plant de-bottlenecking and plant expansion. The contracts, which cover three oil refineries and two aluminium smelters, are awarded by a mixture of new clients as well as repeat business. These contracts will provide work for up to 50 staff. This work on top of on-going jobs in
Teesside, South East England and the Middle East mean that KHI is now looking to
recruit staff. KHI is providing high skilled services to these blue chip multi-nationals and national oil
companies, demonstrating that through the quality of our staff plus our wealth of experience in the petrochemical and metals industry we can add value to our client’s businesses.
These contract awards together with other tenders still in the pipeline are a positive sign that 2010 will see an improvement in workload and staffing for KHI.
