New Office – New Chamber Putting Members at the heart of the Chamber

The Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce is in the process of re-structuring the management and membership elements of our staff resources to take full advantage of the change opportunity of moving to the new offices in July.

The principal changes are:
•    Investment in a team of more senior member engagement staff  (Membership Network Managers)to provide a step change in the quality of service from the Chamber experienced by members, and thereby improving member retention and recruitment
•    Moulding the existing separate teams into a single membership services unit, managed by the Network managers and directed by a new Membership Director who will  act as deputy to the CEO
•    A more focused role of Finance & Administration Director, concentrating on finance, IT,  administration, QA and business process.
•    Investment in a new Research service which we expect to launch later in the year, and consequent re-focusing of Policy work.
•    The consolidation of fragmented aspects of the work of the Chamber into a more member-focused and team-based approach

As a result of the re-structure, 7 posts were declared redundant and new posts have been created (see below). Following staff consultation, three members of staff left the company recently, and I would like to thank them for their service to AGCC. The process should be complete by the Autumn, and in the meantime the team at the Chamber will ensure that you continue to receive first-class service.

These changes are designed to improve performance against the aim of the Chamber:
“Our members at the heart of the Chamber; Our Chamber at the heart of a strong and sustainable economy in the City and Shire; Our region at the heart of a prosperous country.”
