Marine electrical system integration contractor Imtech Marine UK Ltd has announced the opening of an office at Waterloo Quay in Aberdeen, providing whole ship electrical engineering support and emergency call out services to international and locally based vessel and platform operators. The company is part of the €5.1bn Imtech N.V. Group, a leading supplier of European technical services in the fields of information and communication technology and electrical and mechanical engineering.
The newly opened office will be a base for a team of engineers offering in-house and
on-site engineering support for dry docking, new builds and conversions. In addition to providing services on a project only basis, Imtech will offer managed service agreements, aimed at maintaining vessels’ health-in-service as well as extending life-in-field potential.
As a specialist in the custom design, supply, integration and installation of electrical and HVAC systems, Imtech Marine UK provides ship-wide support for all types of vessels, specialised deck equipment and offshore platforms.
The company’s core strength is in taking responsibility for the through-life support of a range of OEM equipment packages and systems including; power (from generation to distribution), electrical propulsion drives, Dynamic Positioning and all navigation and communications, alarm and monitoring systems.

The opening of the Aberdeen office brings Imtech Marine’s total number of service centres to 89 worldwide.
