LEADING North law firm Ward Hadaway has promoted five of its lawyers to the position of partner.
Associates Teresa Davidson, Jonathan Dickson, Helen O’Neill, Jane Garvin and Martin Woodford are now all Partners at the firm.
Teresa Davidson is a key figure in Ward Hadaway’s acclaimed family and matrimonial team.
She is a specialist in high value financial issues in family cases with particular experience of acting for, and in cases involving, business owners and professionals, particularly from the medical profession.
Teresa has particular expertise in Civil Partnership cases and in disputes between unmarried partners, especially where there are disputes concerning property ownership.
Jonathan Dickson and Helen O’Neill both work in Ward Hadaway’s extensive property team.
Jonathan specialises in property investment and development work with substantial experience across a range of areas, including mixed-use schemes and advising investment funds in the acquisition and disposal of industrial and office accommodation and the “turning around” of estates
Helen has advised on a wide range of developments and acts for clients including national housebuilders, commercial developers, registered providers and local authorities, dealing with complicated site acquisitions and disposals relating to residential, commercial and mixed-use sites.
Jane Garvin is a member of Ward Hadaway’s corporate recovery and insolvency team.
She has a wealth of experience dealing with all aspects of insolvency-related issues, from advising directors of financially distressed companies to advising on insolvent business sales, and works with clients including insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, creditors, directors, landlords, businesses, individual debtors, charities and public sector bodies.
Martin Woodford works in Ward Hadaway’s top-rated commercial litigation team, where he has particular expertise advising clients on insurance, financial services and pensions disputes.
Martin led the firm’s team in a landmark case involving the Pensions Regulator last year and also handles a wider range of commercial disputes for corporate clients.
