Earlier this year, Dickinson Dees hosted an event about Strategy and Planning for Auto Enrolment. This second session will cover everything you need to know about Automatic Enrolment, including the practicalities, safeguards and regulation.

As of October 2012 all employers in Great Britain will be obliged to enrol eligible workers into a qualifying pension scheme (which meets certain quality requirements).

This seminar, hosted by the region's leading law firm, Dickinson Dees, will provide expert legal insight into the practical steps that employers will need to take in order to fulfil their automatic enrolment duties on the ground, including:

• Understanding the Automatic Enrolment process – how to deal with the detailed information requirements for various categories of worker and the deduction of contributions (including assessing pay reference periods)

• How to deal with opt ins, opt outs and refunds of contributions

• Consideration of how current contractual enrolment processes can be compatible with Automatic Enrolment

• Analysis of the safeguards afforded to workers and the practical implications for employers (including an assessment of the ban on unfair treatment of workers, inducements and prohibited recruitment conduct)

• Assessing the role of the Pensions Regulator and considering the detailed record keeping requirements for employers

• The seminar will then end with a question and answers session, which will allow you to raise any automatic enrolment related queries.
