Visit supported by UK Trade & Investment
11th & 12th March
Thinking about future export markets, why not consider Norway?
Norway is the country in the world with the highest forecasted expenditures in the oil and gas sector for the 2012-2015 period, according to a report from INTSOK (Norwegian Oil and Gas Partners). With well over 160 billion USD, Norway is well ahead of the US Gulf of Mexico on second place with around 145 billion USD. The UK ranks fourth in the world at approximately 110 billion USD for the same period.
In total 22 new discoveries were made in 2011, boosting optimism in the Norwegian offshore sector. The giant Johan Sverdrup field, discovered in the mature area of the North Sea, is potentially the third largest ever in Norway with estimates ranging between 1.7 and 3.3 billion boe. The field is expected to go live in 2018.
Only a one hour flight from the UK, Norway is a dynamic and exciting place to do business. With a vast number of high profile oil & gas companies with operations / bases in Stavanger, in March 2013 we are leading an oil & gas focused International Business Visit to Stavanger which will open doors with the aim of creating new business for you.
